We are currently hiring a number of roles in our Hong Kong office.
As the Operations Lead, you'll be a key part of Silentmode’s leadership team, working alongside the CEO to ensure we optimize both our processes and teams, striving to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers across multiple touch points. We are looking for people who have a delivery mindset, coupled with a passion for impact projects and ‘high emotion’ consumer products.
Help formulate the yearly sales/growth KPI’s and monetisation strategy
Manage daily team meetings and review team KPIs laddered into weekly/monthly dashboards to report at Board level
Oversee key operational relationships (manufacturing/consultants/partnerships) and maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors
Take ownership of contribution model targets
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurances for operations
Improve the efficiency of our processes and procedures
Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed, and taking ownership of employee branding
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
A seasoned leader from a product background, capable of supporting cross disciplinary teams, as well as an ability to communicate effectively at a board level
Entrepreneurial mindset, ideally with prior experience in a start-up environment, and a proven track record scaling early growth businesses
Mature critical thinking framework, with an ability to support and inspire those around them to tackle nuanced problems in an ambiguous space
Strong understanding of key business metrics; MOM sales growth, contribution margin, P+L, forecasting for hardware businesses
Experience of Shopify, Google Analytics and Xero preferred, but not critical

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Enter all daily transactions into accounting software (Xero)
Process all supplier payments, payroll, and credit card transactions
Manage accounts receivable (including contacting merchants as needed)
Deposit cheques into bank account and manage petty cash for the office
Complete daily bank reconciliation and matching of payments received
Manage financial vendor relationships including FX partners, MPF, company insurance, credit card processing, etc
Summarize monthly financial statements – balance sheet, profit and loss, cashflow and other reports
Analyze opportunities for cost savings, increasing efficiencies and profit margins
Support internal teams with budgeting and cash flow projections as needed
Maintain accounting controls through recommending policies and procedures
Contribute to team and operational efficiency
Fluent English (spoken and written)
At least 2 years of working experience in a relevant financial role
Accounting, payment processing and data entry experience
